Durham Techinician Earns Ase Master School Bus Technician Certification

National Express | 27 January, 2017 | NELLC

Indianapolis, IN – Maintenance Technician Brad Miller with Durham School Services has earned the prestigious Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master School Bus Technician certification.

Master-certified technicians must complete a series of rigorous tests ranging from body systems and diesel engines to suspension and steering. ASE describes master status as being “the best of the best”—the gold standard for technicians across the U.S.

“Brad is an outstanding maintenance technician. He is dedicated to the excellent maintenance of our fleet as well as the safety of the students we transport,” said Chuck Brown, general manager for Durham. “ASE master certification is well deserved recognition for Brad.”

In 2016, less than 4,500 technicians were ASE certified, and only around 1,400 of those technicians earned master certification.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is a non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals. ASE Certified Technicians work in every part of the automotive service industry.
