Fairview, PA – Lead Maintenance Technician Dana Alvez with Durham School Services has earned the prestigious Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master School Bus Technician certification.
Master-certified technicians must complete a series of rigorous tests ranging from body systems and diesel engines to suspension and steering. This certification showcases Durham’s commitment to fleet maintenance excellence in transportion safety services.
“Dana brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our skilled maintenance team,” said Ann Stephens, general manager for Durham. “This accomplishment shows his personal and professional dedication to getting our students safely to and from school.”
“To put Dana’s achievement in perspective, less than 4,500 technicians were ASE certified and only around 1,400 earned master certification in 2016,” Stephens added. “We’re proud to have him on our team.”
Durham is dedicated to getting students to school safely, on time and ready to learn. This mission starts with the excellent maintenance of our fleets performed by our experienced technicians.
Dana will be recognized in front of his peers at Durham’s monthly safety meeting.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is a non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals. ASE Certified Technicians work in every part of the automotive service industry.
